About this notice

Pixel Crown is a one-person bakery in Chikusa ward, Nagoya, run by Noriko Miyazaki since 2019. We bake on Fridays, hand loaves over in the morning and keep a short list of the people we bake them for. This notice explains which personal details that list contains, why we hold them and how to have them changed or removed. It follows the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI), which prevails wherever it says something different.

What we receive

Reservation and enquiry forms give us your name, email address, an optional phone number, and where relevant a date, a time, the number of guests and your message. Subscribers also give a delivery address inside Nagoya city if they want their loaf brought to the door. The website has no accounts, no basket and no payment form, so card or banking details never pass through it.

Allergy and dietary notes

If you tell us about an allergy, for example to sesame or dairy, we write it next to your name so that the right loaf and the right butter reach you. Health information is treated with extra care under the APPI, so we use it only for that purpose, keep it off any list that others handle, and delete it when you stop ordering or ask us to.

Friday pickup list

The list we bake against shows a first name, the loaf chosen and the pickup time. A printed copy lies on the counter during the 8:00-13:00 pickup window and is shredded at the end of the day. We do not read out surnames or addresses to other customers waiting for their bread.

Why we use these details

We use them to confirm your order by the Tuesday noon cut-off, to tell you if a seasonal batch such as the chestnut loaf runs short, to arrange baking workshops for groups of up to four, to deliver subscription loaves, and to reconcile bank transfers. We do not send promotional mail. A note about the next seasonal loaf goes only to people who have asked for it.

Payments

Bank transfer (furikomi) and subscription billing are handled in the bank's own system, and we see only the payer's name and the amount that appear on the statement. Cash and PayPay at the counter leave no card data with us. We keep transfer records for the period that Japanese bookkeeping and tax rules require.

Local storage and cookies

This website uses no analytics, no advertising tags and no tracking cookies. When you press Got it on the notice, your browser stores that choice locally so that the notice does not return every visit. Clear your site data and it comes back; nothing in that setting says who you are.

Who else sees your details

Nobody outside the bakery receives your details for marketing. A delivery partner, if we use one for a given week, is told only a name, address and phone number for the loaves on its round. Our email is kept with a standard mail provider that may store messages on servers abroad; if you prefer, you can book by phone or at the Friday counter instead. Authorities see information only where a lawful request obliges us.

How long we keep it

Reservation messages are deleted a few weeks after the bake they concerned, unless you are a subscriber, in which case we keep your delivery details and loaf preference while the subscription runs and remove them soon after it ends. Workshop attendee names are kept for the season in case a participant asks about a date. Financial records are kept for the statutory period only.

Protection

The mailbox has a private password. The order notebook stays in the kitchen, not at the counter, and the digital list lives on a device that is locked when it is not being used. Because the bakery is small, only Noriko and, on busy Fridays, whoever is helping her at the counter can see any of this.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, have mistakes corrected, ask us to stop using your details for a purpose you did not expect, or have everything deleted. Write to hello@pixel-crown.com and tell us which you want. We will check it is you by replying to the address you wrote from, and we aim to finish within two weeks. There is no charge for ordinary requests.

Young bakers

Our workshops are open to adults. If a younger person would like to join, a parent or guardian should write to us first and will be asked to consent on the young person's behalf.

Updates to this page

If we begin using an online booking tool, change how deliveries work or add anything else that touches your details, this page will be rewritten first and its date at the top refreshed. You may ask us what an earlier version said.

Questions about privacy

Write to hello@pixel-crown.com or call 052-733-8261. The best time to reach us is Friday between 8:00 and 13:00, when the bakery is open, though email is answered on other days as well. You may also raise a concern with the Personal Information Protection Commission of Japan if our reply does not satisfy you.
